3-Pin Fan Header Control?

So after having another thread about heating and noise issues, I am wondering if there is a way to control a 3-pin fan connector like a 4-pin with software like EasyTune6, SpeedFan, or OpenHardwareMonitor.

I am also wondering about if there is a way to connect more fans even if there are no more headers on the mobo (Maybe Molex to fan?)

Buy a fan controller. They make many different types, colors, styles, sizes. Something like this.

3 pin fans attached to 4 pin headers can be speed controlled, but you generally need to set minimum speed to 50% to insure the fans actually start.
I don't know if connecting multiple fans to one header is a good idea, don't know how strong the MB fan controllers are, I'd be skeptical that you could drive more than one fan safely. You can buy molex to fan connectors, disadvantage is fan is 100% speed all the time

You can controll most fans from the motherboard bios or software in windows.
Your motherboard fan headers can handle several fans as long as they are not the 120mm 2500rpm delta screamers.
You can use fan splitters to connect 2 fans to one header so that you can have automatic fan control and not have to fuss with a fan controller.
