[SOLVED] 3 pin rgb to 4 pin possible?

So i have the Fractal Design Al-12 coolers and i want to hook my rgb pin connector to my asus prime b450m motherboard. Now i looked this up and it should be possible, or so i red. So i tried and i realized that the rgb connector had 3 pin input but my motherboard coudl only take 4 pins. Now people said that it should still be possible because the last one was for monitoring and controlling fan speed. But there is a plastic cover on the 4 pin preventing me to do this. Should i perhaps break the plastic cover or is there an adapter i can buy?

3 pin/5 volt Adressable RGB fans are NOT compatible with 4 pin/12 volt RGB headers.
To use the 3 pin Addressable RGB fans you will need to get an Adressable RGB controller.
