1. It's extremely easy to install. Follow a few step by step instructions just like with installing Windows and you're done. You can download the Ubuntu ISO and burn it to a CD/DVD using iso burning software (google iso burner)

2. Yes. Pop CD/DVD into your disk drive, go into bios http://www.cpucare.net/Hardware/BIOS/Access_BIOS.htm & http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/a/biosaccess_mb.htm if need be, set your boot priority to boot from the disk drive, and save/exit the bios.

3. Maybe. Google the forums of each and find out if there is a Linux section or support section. WINE is usually used to play some Windows specific softwares in Linux, though I have no personal experience with WINE. I'm pretty sure I've read somewhere that WoW does work in Linux.

1. Very easy. Get it here - http://www.ubuntu.com/desktop
2. Yes. It is a full operating system. Install is pretty much like Windows. Put the disk in, boot, and follow the directions.
3. Unless there is a Linux port of that game, they won't run. Some Windows games run under a Linux subsystem called WINE. Specifically, WoW 5.3 does.

Consider running it in a separate partition as a dualboot. It is...different.

1) A nicely working Linux downloads & installs easily. Go **HERE** for detailed howto burn a bootable DVD:

http://www.ubuntu.com/download/desktop/burn-a-dvd-on-ubuntu

2) Always install Linux as the **only** OS for a hardware system. You will avoid many issues.
