Hi there.
I am building my new graphics & video editing pc around the asus Pro art Z790 wifi mob,
I have three questions:
1. Will it work with the intel i9 13900KS?
2. I would like to load it with as much DDR5 memory as it can handle (the fastest memory possible)?
3. Will it handle 2 Asus Pro art 4070ti GPUS?
An answer to any of my questions would be greatly appreciated :)

Hi,

to answer your questions:

1) Yes, the 13900KS is supported.

2) the max memory is 128gb - 4 X 32gb sticks. but there is unofficial support for 48gb sticks. have to check that with the mobo forums.

3) Yes, the Pro art will handle 2 x 4070ti. but the second port runs at pcie 4.0 X 8 (half bandwidth)

Few thoughts:

Dont spend that premium on KS model. instead spend it on beefier cooling to help run it at peak clock speeds on sustained loads.

if you want more cores, look at the threadripper 5000 series. it can run the GPU at X16 speeds and can have 8 channel ram upto 1tb. the 13900k will run on dual channel mode and will be limited to 196gb max ram.

Here are the specs for your motherboard:
13900KS is supported at bios level 0704 which was released 11/2022

The specs also say 192gb is supported but none show up on the ram QVL list.
That is not surprising since QVL lists are not updated frequently.
To be certain of support go to g.skil, Corsair or... and verify that the 192gb kit is supported on your motherboard.
You may find support up to 7200 speeds.
Effectiveness of ram is not totally determined by speed, but also by timings so a lesser speed and better timings may be equally effective.

I like the KS for a top end build. It is a better binned chip that should perform better at a given power level than the K version.

Plan on a top quality psu for your components.
Look for a unit in the 1200w + range. A psu only will draw the power demanded of it, regardless of the max capability.
Seasonic focus/prime or corsair RMx will come with 10 year warranties or better.

While some might worry about ultra liquid cooling, temper your expectations.
Here is an interesting article on running a 13900K with less than top cooling:

Plan on a case with good front intake airflow.
Your graphics cards and motherboard need good airflow.
Some will come with two 160/200mm fans.
