Hey, I know this is a noob question and the answer is out there on the internet. But I've tried googling and Ram stuff is hard to understand.

I have a strix x470-f gaming with 2x gskill trident Z 3200 with a Ryzen 2700x. The first shipping of the ddr4 ram had a bad chip and I got a new set of 2 for free. I wonder, can I use all 3 and see a increased preformence?
Or should I simply use 2?

I don't play games. Only contentcreation like adobe, Cinema4d, Zbrush, photogrammetry and so on.

Try 2 sticks and run some benchmarks, then try the 3 sticks and run the same benchmarks (processor ) wPrime and Cinebench will do.

3 sticks should run in flex mode not sure how the new AMD processors will run on that the older ones and Intel run just fine like that but the new AMD are very memory speed dependent.

Edit please post back with the results this is very intersting.
