I bought a new motherboard ( Asus M5A78L) and a new cpu (amd fx6300) I dismantled my old setup and installed my old parts onto my new motherboard and my new CPU, Everything fitted in place when I powered up and got a constant 3 short beeps, this is apparently a ram failure, I do not understand as this stick of G.Skill 4gb was working fine in my old motherboard (I have another stick of same ram on the way) In my motherboard manual it says nothing about any 4gb sticks only for my ddr3 1333mhz:
G. Skill Ram
3GB(3 X 1GB)
4GB(2 X 2GB)
6GB(3 X 2GB)
8GB(2 X 4GB) what I need? and not 1 X 4GB ?
Thats more or less it I don't believe any of my parts are in conflict, hope I get this fixed soon.
Specs:
AMD FX 6300
Sapphire Radeon R7 250X
G.Skill 4GB (1 x 4GB) [soon to be 2 x 4GB]
EVGA 500W PSU
