3-way Crossfire AMD R9 390, how much power usage?

Okay, so Im now building a computer with 3 r9 390, but Im really struggling with putting in the powersupply, simply because Im unsure. If I went with duo, then I would choose a Corsair RM1000. But putting in another GPU made me unsure if I was better off with 1200W or 1500W?

If any of you actually think going 3-way Crossfire is crazy or stupid or both, please come with a sugestion for a better solution. Im open for anything 😀

R9 390x3 is 825w so 375w remaining should be more than enough to cover everything else

update: on a side note, why not wait for HBM 2 if ur willing to pull out the cash for R9 390X3

What is HBM 2? could you pretty please explain it to me?

In short, its a small revolution in the way of video ram and will allow memory in the ranges of 16-32GB with much lower power consumptions and vast upgrades to the current standard.

You are better off waiting till HBM 2 (AMD Fury X and Fury currently use HBM Ver 1.0)

No good confirmations but roadmap suggests early 2016 - If you can hold out till then you might be better served for your money. Up to you though

Thanks for the answer. Im saving money towards a LAN party in Norway called The Gathering. If the HBM 2 comes before, then I guess I'll buy it. Thanks for the answers again 😀
