Hey guys,
Currently have 2 x GTX 760(2gb) SLI, thinking of adding a third and just wondering if the 2gb variants would be worthwhile and able to handle 2560x1080 resolution?
Appreciate all responses!
Thanks!

Yes, it will be able to run at the resolution and yes that it also depends on the motherboard as Bad_Kitty13 has stated.

I would just like to add that, triple GPU is not recommended as driver and optimization issue starts to become very noticeable. I recommend to just save those money for a future upgrade.

I dont recommend tri sli simply becuase most games don't scale properly to 3 cards. Your best bet is to go with a single high end card or 2x sli. Tri sli may also be an overkill at that resolution considering one 780 card can perform very well in that resolution. I would say to go with 2x 770 sli becuase that will let you pretty much max out every game in that resolution.

Just go for a single GTX 780ti then!

I'd also like to point out that running two 2gb GPU's in SLI does not give you 4gb of GPU RAM. They share the RAM. This makes SLI not super great for a high-resolution monitor, but good for multi-monitor setups.

Yeh, thats why I was a bit cautious about 2560x1080 res. Yeh I was considering the 780, but its just easier and more cost effective to buy 1 more 760 than a whole 780ti...

A dual sli setup with the 760 can even outperform a single 780 and the 780 is built for resoluton upto 2560x1600 so why are you getting the 3rd card. You should max out on those two 760s and your rig doesnt really require any upgrade. At this moment it is fine but I advice is whenever you want to upgrade it in the future, just dont add a 3rd sli card instead buy a fresh and single high-end GPU

yeh I'm not sure why im not either. Currently hitting Titanfall on medium which I'm not too happy about!
but cheers man!

Then better save the money and upgrade to a 780ti whenever possible
