30 feet away from router what is the best way to connect to the internet?

I have a really crappy wireless usb network adapter and i am wondering what is the best way to connect from a long distance. Also if you were to use the Ethernet cable how would you do it.

Make sure you are using the 2.4GHz wifi band. You can buy a Wifi extender, or use powerline adapters if you want an Ethernet connection.

If you can run a actual ethernet cable along the floor or something it will be the best as most stable connection. The details of how you run a ethernet cable is going to depend on your house. Many times you cut holes in the walls and run it in the attic or basement. Some houses there is not a realistic path without major modification to walls etc. In those you might consider powerline devices.
