I'm looking at getting a new 30"+ primary monitor but wanted some advice on which features I actually need. It will primarily be used for gaming, although I understand Overwatch and WoW aren't that demanding. I'd also like to make sure I'm not paying for features my gtx970 would struggle with.
My main questions are, which resolutions should I be looking at? With the increased size I'd obviously like the graphics quality to be a noticeable improvement over my current 1080p.
Would gsync, freesync or 144htz be a waste with my current setup and games I'm playing?
Obviously I'd like the monitor to be as future proof as possible, I will eventually be upgrading my gpu and playing newer games, but never completely high end or ultra competitively.
Any advice would be really appreciated
