300 Euro spec

A friend of mine is getting someone to build him the below PC for 300 Euro -

3.1Ghz AMD Phenom II
8GB RAM
500GB HD
2GB Radeon HD 7850
Don't have info on the MB

He's not a gamer generally but he is looking to run No Mans Sky and Euro Truck Simulator. He also wants to use it with Xbox Kinect as a 3D scanner via Windows 10 (he's into 3D printing) - https://goo.gl/OiQBL9

Anyone have any thoughts on how this may perform for these tasks?

That processor is very weak, and not a very good PC even for that price. What country are you in and from what websites are you buying this from?

We're in Ireland. I don't know the source of the parts - it's a guy that a friend knows who says he'll build him the PC, so that price includes the listed components, a motherboard and a case and I assume something for building it.

If you ignore the build cost, could you recommend something better for around the same budget, sourced from Europe or the UK?

Yes, surprisingly No Mans Sky isn't a very demanding game, like most latest games. At 1080p you should be able to play at medium settings.
