[SOLVED] 3070-3090 HELP

Hello i have a question

i was wondering if a 3070 to 3090 is gonna fit/work in my motherboard,

my motherboard is h310m pro vd (LINK https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/H310M-PRO-VD.html)

Model name: MS-7B33

My cpu is i7 8700 overcloked to 4,3 ghz

It'll fit on the board that's a definite. It will still use the same PCIe bus interface as any previous GPU, so no worries there. The main problem is that the 3080 and 3090 will be massive width wise, so you need to make sure you have enough clearance inside your case itself. You'll have to wait till the cards come out to get exact dimensions.

Also these cards are going to be PCIe Gen 4 compatible, so you will not be getting the full performance of these cards with that board and CPU. Only the 3000 series AMD CPU's and X570 or B550 motherboards at the moment can provide complete utilization. Though it will work regardless with your PCIe Gen 3 board.

These new boards use PCI 4.0 which intel boards don't have, just so you know...Might want to switch to AMD if you want to take advantage of 4.0
