Wait and see on that one.OK but either way this is going to crush AC ODyessey, gta 5, metro ex, and other current games
I'm more impressed by the leaps consdiering the price difference btween the rtx 2080 ti and the 3090. It's pretty impressive and AMD would have to bring their A game. The 3080 alone at that price is impressiveand if people still didnt realise, 3090 is not a gamer card, replacing Titan RTX in the lineup not 2080ti
expect there to be a ti version of 3080 sometime next year
The problem I have with this is that a TV at that res is going to have higher latency, so the actual fps is going to be lower than 60.play games at 8k at 60fps
If the 3090 can play games at 8k at 60fps like they claim, I'll s**t my pants. I'll wait for benchmarks before building my new rigs.
It's not about that. It's about the fact that if it can actually do that, it must be able to run my 3440x1440 at at least 100 or 120 on most games and that's good enough for me...meh , how many prople would pay $5000 for 8k Monitor or TV just to "game" on them ?
Nope, that's not how things work. It's not about that. It's about the fact that if it can actually do that, it must be able to run my 3440x1440 at at least 100 or 120 on most games and that's good enough for me...

More units make higher res possible, but the units need to be faster to run at higher FPS.
They might be but 8k performance is not how you would judge that.

Digital foundary has some games tested already for the 3080. Over 80% gains over the 2080.Wait and see on that one.
The 2080Ti was supposed to have crushed the 1080Ti... it didn't deliver. Why?
Because software devs.
If they're recycling the same old engines/post-processing techniques, then the really fancy hardware can't shine.
There are titles where the 2080Ti has a nice 40-50% bump over the 1080Ti, but they are few. More often than not, the difference was closer to 20-30%, and that's pretty sad considering how much it cost.
I saw that, but there's a lot of info missing from that video, and I mean A LOT.Digital foundary has some games tested already for the 3080. Over 80% gains over the 2080.
