So I have a 3080 and 9900k system, and I really not gamed much in the last few months. I fired up fortnite to see what's up, and noticed a few things:
1) there is about a 20 fps difference between DX 11 and 12 now, and,
2) Ray tracing is completely unusable. Turning ray tracing on, even with the LOWEST possible ray tracing settings, results in only 20 FPS!!! (at 3440 x 1440) With DLSS on performance mode, it goes up to about 40 fps. Last time I played this game, I had ray tracing on medium-ish settings with quality DLSS and was getting 100+ fps at same resolution. What in * happened?
Not sure if it's the game or the card. In DX 11 all EPIC settings, Im getting about 140 fps without any DLSS. at 3440X1440.
