Perhaps my PC Brothers can come in clutch here. I am looking to upgrade my GPU to a 3090 which is within my budget for professional work. I have an option between choosing an apparent brand new unopened 3090FE or a used 3090 Suprim X from MSI for similar prices. Obviously the FE sounds like a no brainer being new however I do have some concerns which I will elaborate on. Firstly does anyone know perhaps with first hand experience if the MSI 3090 Suprim X or the 3090FE will fit in the Corsair 4000D airflow case. From my research I believe the 3090 FE should but I would like to know if the Suprim X will too?
I know Nvadia recommends 750W as a minimum for the 3090s but I would get a 850 instead. Am I safe with an 850W for intensive AI model work? I have no interest in mining but I am not sure how power intensive heavy AI pushing work that uses a lot of Vram is. FE looks like 85W is fine however Suprim is a power hungry beast going off PC part picker.
On the topic of Vram I have heard that the FE Vram does get very hot compared to the Suprim. Will it get very hot with Ai work like mining and potentially throttle or is it a non issue or can easily be solved with some DIY tinkering
Lastly as I am located in Europe so I am always wary on what card is more efficient and comes with lower power bills. I would think the FE would be but looking at a few articles its hard to tell. Only think that cause of the Suprim wattage draw on PC part picker.
My rig with GPUS thrown in.
