I'm currently trying to decide between the Samsung S32D850T and the Samsung S27D850T. I currently have a 27" 1080p monitor. Will 27" 1440p look almost too stretched? Will 32" be too big?

What monitor should I go for?

1440p doesn't look stretched at all on those monitor sizes, 1080p looks a bit stretched at 32" and above from what I have heard.

32" @1440p would be awesome, the bigger the better if you ask me.
34" Ultrawides are pretty amazing too, but the 32" 16:9 Will have a greater height. But the ultrawide will be wider.

Check this site out to see a representation of how big the monitors are.

I probably have a budget of about four to five hundred ish. Of course, lower is always better! (Not saying I want to cheap out though).

I have an i7-6700K, 16GB of 3000mhz RAM, and an ASUS Strix 1070 on an ASUS Z170 PRO/AURA motherboard. PSU is an EVGA G2 850W for any future upgrades (a ton of headroom). Also have a 2TB HDD and a 500GB SSD.

I would prefer monitors that have slimmer bezels and VESA mounting, but a good deal is a good deal.

So with a 6700K and a GTX 1070 it's definitely worth going for a 1440p 27" 144hz? (These monitors don't have G-Sync, only FreeSync. That'd probably be okay if I limit it to like 100 or something, though). Or would it be more worth going for a 32" 1440p?

Oh, alright. 27" it is! Thank you very much!

Sorry, sorry. I know this is months old but I really want to know. If the 27" monitor and 32" monitor both have a resolution of 2560x1440 then how is the 32" more pixels to push? Wouldn't it take the exact same amount of GPU power? I thought the only difference would be a lower pixel density on the 32" but maybe I'm misinformed.

You're right. GPU's don't care what size your monitor is... just the pixel density.
