Hi guys, I am planning on doing an htpc build inside the 7th gen. Celeron intel NUC.

Should I get a 27' 1080p monitor?
Or should I get a 32' 720p tv?

Both panels are IPS.

I will be using that display as a monitor for browsing and basic tasks such as office, and, i will be using it a LOT for watching series and movies from my bed, with my eyes 1,80m away from the screen more or less.

The monitor and the tv are the same price.

Thank you

will you be using the screen most from up close or 1.8M?
if you are on the monitor hours a day and only watch the screen from bed for an hour a day get the monitor, sharper images when you are close.
The TV is meant for viewing from a distance and will be crap up close. (crap to me I'm used to 1080p and 720p just looks wrong)

you know monitors now days are extremely light and there is nothing stopping you from running a spare cable so you can move the monitor for bed viewing. it can be a PITA but nothing like moving one of these monsters.

keep a spare power cable next to the bed and get a long HDMI cable and done...

If you plan on a lot of distance viewing I'd get the bigger panel even though the resolution is lower. I mean i use a 55" 4K set for my panel so I am partial to bigger screens. Though a I game a lot and thus the higher resolution. Unless you have a really good eye when watching TV/movies. My guess is you'll get more out of the larger panel at a distance.
