32 bit to 64 bit (Windows 8.1)

I just purchased windows 8.1 online created a bootable USB and installed windows on my new computer. Problem is, that it installed as a 32 bit windows and my gaming rig needs 64 bits to use my 8 gigs of RAM.

How do install windows 8.1 so I can get it to run 64 bit?

Did you make sure you bought the 64bit window 8.1.
Download the 64bit installer then use the key provided.

I bought it straight from microsoft and it does not say. There weren´t even an option to buy a 32 or 64 bit one. Just one that says "Buy Windows 8.1 English.exe". Also all the other places where I asked for it, it was always a combo of 32 and 64 bit versions

I would log back into the site and try to redownload. The 32bit and 64 bit bversiins are usually seperate downloads
