I'm unsure if I should go with a 40" 4K or 32" curved monitor. For curved, I'm looking at an LG 34UC88; for 4k, I'm considering 43" Acer ET430K or 42.51" Dell P4317Q. However, I'm open to other suggestions too.

Uses: some work, multitasking, streaming and gaming. Most of my gaming is single player, so I don't think fps matters much.

Current specs
* GTX 1080 Mini ITX
* i7-3770 but will likely upgrade soon (probably to i7-8700)

Any guidance is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I game casually and usually solo, no PVP, no First Person Shooters, and jumping from a 60hz monitor to a 144hz monitor was huge. Before that I was gaming on a 4k monitor. That being said, I'd go with the LG out of the 2. The extra wide curved helps with immersion, and it's a resolution that will be more friendly with your GPU over the next couple years. Even with a beautiful 4k monitor, if the graphics card can't handle it you'll have to dial everything way down.
