Guys on a 32 "what difference would I find in using a curved compared to a plate? I never had curved TV monitors. I wonder what advantages or disadvantages I would have in play
I can give you my personal experience between flat vs curved monitors.
I had 23" flat monitor in use for years before i upgraded it to 24" 1500R curved monitor. Since my monitor size is small, curvature won't give me that much of an immersion as 27" or bigger would give but it still gives some immersion. Better that of any flat screen monitor i've ever used. Also, it's easier to read text due to the slight curve and there are also less reflections on the screen.
That depends how big the curvature is (e.g 1000R, 1500R, 1800R) and how far are you sitting from the monitor. But curved monitor gives more immersion thanks to it's curvature.
