Question 32 inch display

I'm getting a monitor with a 32 inch display but I do not like the fact that its wide and will mainly use it for playing R6S, does the wideness effect gameplay considerably if so, is there a way to make the monitor ratio relatively normal? I dont have the computer yet so I'm asking before hand because I cant find anything relating to it online

You don't like widescreen displays and would prefer a square one?

are you talking about a 16:9 monitor or an Ultrawide 21:9 monitor? 16:9 is pretty standard now. Ultrawides are great and can allow you a wider field of view if the game supports it. I have been looking into ultrawide, and i'd love one, but i cant get one with the same features and high refresh rate for the same size 16:9 within my price range. so im probably going with a Qhd 32" 16:9 with 144hz freesync and HDR.....
