Alright So I've been having some issues with BSODS since I built my pc in April. Yesterday, I ran a control panel memory test and it was my memories fault. Turned the mhz to 3000 and sure enough it works great! How can I get my other 200mhz back?
specs:
ryzen 5 3600
asus tuf x570
gskills ripjaw 16gb kit of 3200mhz
msi rx5700xt

Depending on your board, ram and CPU sometimes running a Ryzen 5 3600 at RAM 3200MHz is just not possible using the XMP profile to the advertised speed of the RAM.

Sometime it requires you update the BIOS of your board for some memory compatibility.

Sometime it's because you're not using the good slots on the board for the XMP profile to work correctly.

Sometime it's because the RAM you bought is not on the motherboard QVL list.

If the XMP profile doesn't stick at 3200MHz you could probably set all the timings etc manually and get it working by fiddling with that.

Or you could just run the RAM using the XMP profile at 3000MHz. Not like you're gonna see a big difference between 3000MHz and 3200MHz anyway.

Is that a 4x4GB KIT or a 2x8GB kit?

2x8. And your right no performance hit at 1440p which is what I use. I dont use the default DCOP profile. I use a custum one in the AI tweaker. Ill update my bios and see what I can do. I read the manual of my board, DCOP should work on all slots. Checked the qvl its in there(G.SKILL F4-3400C16D-16GSXW 16GB(8GB*2) SS Samsung 16-16-16-36 1.35V 3400 3400)

And what happens when you use the default DOCP profile ?
