Hi there! I'm building a new Ryzen desktop and I need advice on RAM.

I've ordered the following -

  • Ryzen 2600
MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon AC
    Corsair CMK32GX4M2B3200C16 32GB (2 x 16GB) Vengeance LPX DDR4
I now understand the problems with Hynix memory, and I'm concerned this will run slow if I can't achieve 3200mhz. I'm not sure if this still affects Ryzen or if the compatibility issues are fixed?

I originally only planned to buy 16GB RAM, but as an upgrade to 32GB only increased the price from £120 to £200 I figured it was a bargain.

Would I be better off returning this RAM and ordering 16GB Samsung B Die, and if so, what would you recommend? Ideally around £140 (that's pounds GB)

Thanks in advance!

Honestly, there wouldn't be that much difference. It might give a slight boost in fps, but unless you're doing a lot of multi-tasking and heavy graphic projects you'd be mostly fine with 16 GB.
