Question 3200mhz ram running at 2666

i have now tried everything to get my ram to get up to 3200mhz. it is stuck on 2666mhz after enabling XMP

i have a i7-9700k
rog strix B365-g GAMING
and my ram is 2 sticks of 8GB ddr4 3200mhz
i have updated bios too. what too do?

Witch ram slots is the memory installed?

B365 chipsets only support memories until 2666mhz only.

I just found out my motherboard does not support higher than 2666mhz. It's on slot a2 and b2.

I had the exact same problem as you when i had a B365-g. My friend told me to buy a b450 motherboard and it will work i bought a cheap b-450 and it didin't work. Then my friend said try the MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX motherboard. And it worked my ram started working normal so my tip is buy that motherboard and try if it works. If it doesn't refund it
