Dell Vostro 1000. AMD 32bit CPU. Vista Home Basic 32bit.

Need USB Bluetooth Dongle for it. Will one for 64bit Vista work?

No. Drivers are unique, and neither 32->64, nor 64->32 transitions work.
You're talking about "Dongle", meaning it is an external USB device. YOu better check with the vendor, or get a new one with guaranteed 32-bit Vista support (it will be tricky)

According to the internets your CPU is 64bit ,it's just going to be tough running a 64bit OS if you don't have enough ram and you do need a 64bit OS to run 64bit drivers.

Vista Home Basic is a 32bit OS

Vostro's with AMD processor do not have slot for the Dell Bluetooth Card. Ones with Intel CPU do.

Is there a 32bit USB Bluetooth Dongle?

Runs better with less ram and they don't have to bother with two different things,slapping on 32bit on everything works.
