Hello,there.

i accidently downloaded 32Bit OS but i can run 64Bit. So my question is should i stay on the 32Bit OS or should i change. Because i only use Browser,Movies,Music and not much more. Wouldi benefit if im using the 32Bit instead of 64Bit or its equal.
Thanks waiting for reply's.

Solution
If you only have 4GB of RAM (or less), then you don't need 64bit OS. Otherwise 32bit OS cannot address more than 4GB of RAM and locks you to roughly 3.7GB. Plus you lose support of plenty of 64bit instruction set extensions, but the small RAM issue will hurt your performance way more.

As for your usage... Chrome or FireFox browsers are able to take crazy gigabytes of RAM, so yes, you can use it and get improvement even with your use case. As long as the RAM is physically there.

That's partially true. You won't lose support for 64 bit instruction set if you install 32 bit OS on a 64 bit CPU. That 64 bit is related to the CPU's registers. So, no performance loss will be there even if he uses 32 bit OS, just the RAM limitation will be present.

it really comes down to RAM
Win 7 64bit takes around 3GB of RAM when idleing, so having at least 6GB RAM is preferable when running a 64bit OS
with 4GB - I tried it when setting up my grandma's computer - a 32bit OS feels faster

so it comes down to your system specs

I have 4GB of RAM as i sayed i only need Browser and music, videos. So i should stay on the 32Bit right. Because i see some diffrence in the RAM i was using 3,9GB on 64Bit now its 4GB on 32Bit.
I play some browser games if that makes any diffrence on choosing 32Bit or 64Bit but thats all.
Waiting for final reply should i go for 32Bit or 64Bit.
And the question will be solved.
+ if i buy extra RAM to make it like 6,8GB i should go on 64Bit right.
