Hi Yall,
Is it possible to put an OS, on these types of drives. I m guessing no because there not fast enough ?

Thank you

Curious, trying to make my laptop quicker, I read when building desktops, its a good idea to put the OS on one drive, and all your software and files on the second.

no these devices cant do that and even if they could the speed alone would make you want to puke and spend some cash on a hdd or ssd .. i thought about that once because i saw some big flashdrives for cheap and thought i could just cheap out on a hdd and i regret trying because i could not find a way to make it even work

No Worries M8,
I was leaning towards Windows, Since I have a copy of Win 7 , and a pre installed version of Win 8 on this laptop,
So Linux is a different animal.
I have it on a Stick, but wasn't really sure what to do with it, lol
The reason I am asking is It seems I am being forced to update to Win 8.1 in order to be ready for win 10.
So I am hesitant to do 8.1 because I really don t feel like reinstalling all of my software, ......again!
So with that in mind, It would nice to move all programs ( software ) to another drive, So When The OS keeps changing there is less impact on me, and My humble life
