32gb recognized but only 7.45gb usable. ROG i7 vengeance

i bought a compatible ram kit and windows detects 32gb but only 7.45gb is usable.

-wni7 ultimate 64bit sp1

-ASUS MAXIMUS VI HERO DDR3 1600 LGA 1150 Motherboard

Try this:

Open "System Configuration". (Windows + R), type in "msconfig" and press OK.
Under "Boot" Tab click on "Advanced Options" and check "Maximum Memory".
Reboot.

I hope that works.
