32gb showing as 16gb in bios and windows but NOT in cpuz...

I have an issue with my ram

Firstly -
2700k
z68 Asus
Corsair Ven, 4x8gb

Now I ran this setup for about 3 months with no issues at all, after trying a different motherboard to test it, i then went back to the above setup.

This time round Bios, Memtest and Windows shows only 16gb installed, CPUz however shows the full 32gb.

I cant figure it out.

I have ran all dimms as pairs, using both pairs of slots, in every combination i can think of, its only CPUz that shows all 4 dimms

when using slots -

1+2 =8gb
3+4 = 8gb

1+3
1+4
2+3
2+4 all = 16gb showing in bios

Try:

- Do a memtest.
- Check if the CPU cooler is too tight and is pushing some CPU corner.
- Reseat RAM.
- Go to MSCONFIG and check if "max memory" box is unchecked.

Memtest done - all sticks fine

Reseated water block 3 times, no change other than very small difference in idle temp when a little looser force used. Pins all fine

Ram has been reseated countless times when doing the above combos

Max memory is unchecked

I guess the Motherboard has had it?

Which version of Windows are you using?

Windows versions have RAM limit.

Did you buy the RAM sticks as a 8x4 kit?

Check if your mobo suports 16GB, and if your Corsair Vengeance is on the QVL.

Win 10 Pro, It ran for months as I say with no issues, yes 8x4 kit and Vengeance is on the QVL

Its a real strange issue as CPUz can see it! But nothing else seems to be able to
