Question 34 Inch Monitor

Hey Guys,
I had a Pred. X34, loved it, died after 5 years.
Then replaced it with an Alienware, same type of monitor, 34 inch, IPS, curved - it died.
I am looking for something along the same lines, 34 inch, IPS, curved, maybe a higher refresh rate the 100 - any of you purchase something like this in the past year? and if so are you happy, unhappy with your purchase, it's a bit of dough so I want to make sure to do it right, although it is a bit of a lottery when it comes to panels.

For kicks and giggles I ordered the MSI Optix MAG 274QRF-QD 27 inch, as I was curious to see the performance difference going a bit smaller.

I guess IF I did happen to like the 27 inch, should I consider the 4K version for gaming? I keep reading back and forth, good, not good for gaming at 4k, but the games I play like Forza Horizon 5 and Horizon Zero Dawn, am I going to notice a difference?? more importantly, will I notice a difference between 700 and 1200 dollars?? (my wallet will, but IF gaming at 4k really is all the hype, maybe it's something I should consider)

1440p is what I run with a 3080Ti, and even now there are few games that I can't get 144 FPS out of. I think moving to 4K is premature. 3440x1440 is probably the best for most gamers. I'm not sure I am an ultrawide fan, but then I am old school and kind of miss my 4:3 panels. 5120x2160 at 120hz is the up and coming replacement.

Samsung G7 Odyssey is tossed around a lot on the premium side of things.

I am a bit concerned with whatever UHD refers to as opposed to Quat. Dot.
The later will be a faster monitor, I believe (still trying to figure it out) but the first one should have an even clearer picture? (for those of us that are anal about seeing pixels)
I guess one question is how well can a 3080 do with 4k at 144hz?

Sorry guys, just scratching my head a bit, ya I like the MSI monitors and would prefer to stay with them for my purchase and want to try to stay under 30 inches this time around, the 34 and up are a bit out of my wallet's boundaries.

UHD is just the correct name for 4K.
3840x2160 = Ultra HD or 4 times FHD (1080p), with HD reserved for 720p, so that we get QHD or 4 times 720p for 1440p.
4K is actually 4096x2160, but hardly anyone makes screens to this size.

Quantum Dot is a chemical technology. White backlight is replaced with blue, and the fluid in front of each LCD crystal will take the blue light and convert it to almost pure red or green for RGB. The LCD just passes through the blue. Color accuracy is generally pretty good.

I still say QHD is the way to go.
