We have to transfer data to the old embroidery machines through floppy disks, so for my most recent build I got a floppy driver. It came with a 2x17 34 pin data connection. I found an IDE to SATA connector so I could plug it in, but it turns out it was 40 pins. It didn't fit or work. After the second adapter, I realized that I don't need IDE, but It seems like a 34 pin to SATA connector doesn't exist. If all else fails, I could get a usb floppy, but I would prefer using the one I already have. Please help. Thank you.

Get the USB floppy. The 40 pin connector is an IDE not SATA. There are no adapters currently available allowing you to plug a floppy drive into a MB unless it's a very old MB in which case the 34 pin will plug in.

I know that IDE is not SATA. I guess I'll just have to go with USB then.
