I've already narrowed down my choices for 2560x1440 to the ASUS TUF VG27AQ for 463.00. Interested in your opinions on better. https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-Gaming-VG27AQ-G-SYNC-Monitor/dp/B07WQ4FXY9?th=1
But now I'm looking at ultrawides. Are they worth the drop in quality and increase in price?
I'll be powering them with a RTX 2080 super founders edition. The benchmarks between the resolutions is here.
I'm looking at the

and

Now obviously the best bang for my buck would be the ASUS. But if price wasn't a factor, what would you go with?

Solution
I prefer the extra field of view going with an ultrawide vs standard widescreen.

2560x1440 is about 16:9 aspect ratio
3440x1440 is about 21:9 aspect ratio.

Given the choice, and given that you have a 2080 Super, I would go with 3440x1440.
Hmm I’ve got a 2080 Super and run 2560x1440 144Hz and it not exactly overpowered. I’m actually waiting to see if the reports of the 3080 being a good step up over the 2080Ti come true as I would likely upgrade. Take COD MW for example I’m running medium settings with Ray Tracing off to average 120fps.

The funny thing is I'm running a Korean Shimian that maxes at 60hz. I've been happy gaming with it for 8 years now. So anything above that is an improvement. So I think I'll like the bigger screen more than I'll like the better refresh rates and all the other bells and whistles. But I don't know, all I have to compare in person is the ones at bestbuy but they never have any content that really shows off the monitors.
