3570k Overclocking with MSI B75MA-P45 Micro ATX LGA1155 (HELP)

Im getting an MSI B75MA-P45 Micro ATX LGA1155 Motherboard and i was wondering whether i would be able to overclock my 3570k. I saw a comment saying that you can only overclock the 3570k with a p77 motherboard and i want to know if this is true?

There's even an Overclock Genie in software that can handle overclocking for you.

Tip on overclocking the i5-3570K:
You might be able to overclock to 4.2GHz (Turbo) without making other changes related to overclocking thus keeping all the Power Savings features intact. If so, I recommend you stick with that as it will reduce the heat and noise a fair amount. I stress-tested in Prime95 and got 68degC at 4.2GHz on my i7-3770K but at 4.4GHz I had to follow an overclocking guide and make a lot of changes before it was stable then I was at 88degC. Obviously a worst-case scenario but since overclocking generally doesn't make too much difference in games I find this is the ideal balance (my room gets very hot quickly as well).

I used an Asus Sabertooth Z77 but it's a fairly mild overclock so most boards should have no issue.

I don't want to hijack this thread, but it seems a waste of money to me to upgrade from an i7-3770 to an i7-3770K. You have to jump to 4.4GHz to even get a 12.8% theoretical boost which for games would mostly be 0 to 2% and for truly multi-threaded programs like Handbrake maybe 8% in total time savings.
