I have an ASUS laptop 6gb ram, OS C of 238 GB.
I ran WinDirStat and it said that OS C had 134.3 GB used, but when I look in My Computer, it says I only have 66.9 GB free of 238 GB. That is 36.8 GB missing!

Could someone please help me as to what is taking up this 'missing' space?

Link to that thread to check if someone post there info which may help you.

Mostlikely those will be hidden files, which you normally do not see unless you allow it in folder options.
Reason for that is so users won't mess with these files as some may be important for OS.

To get space try to run disk cleanup over your C drive with options to delete old backup/shadow copies and clean all including system files. That may give you few extra GB.
