[SOLVED] 360 AIO question

I have a Corsair Carbide Spec-04 case. The top of the case, has only two holes to only fit a 240 aio. Because I'm upgrading to the i9-9900K soon, I'm going to have to get a 360 for better cooling.

The thing is: if I mount a 360 on to where the 240 slots are, and the third fan will be covered, will it affect cooling performance? 2/3 of the radiator can get mounted, but the last one cannot.

Specs state it only supports 120mm, what makes you think you can mount a 360 on top? Have you measured it out?

Anyways putting a 360mm AIO where you can't utilize part of it for cooling is kind of pointless as you want fans on the rad pushing air through it for cooling.

Sigh. Thanks for the point out. Then can I have recommendations on which 240 is strong enough for the i9? Otherwise I will have to give up the i9 and get the i7-9700K instead?

You could always get a different case.

Well as stated you could grab a different case that does support a 360mm AIO. As that case only supports 120mm AIO, not 240mm.
