Hi there!

I'm currently planning on upgrading my rams from Corsair 16gb Vengeance LPX 3000mhz cl16 to 32gb or 64gb Trident Z Neo 3600mhz cl16 or 18cl
(I have a Ryzen 9 3900x)

So the price where i'm from for the 3600mhz cl16 64gb is double the price of the 3600mhz cl18. (CL18=399$ CL16=568)

I'm not sure if that few fps worth the money for the cl16 one, that few nanoseconds really makes a big diffierence?

Please let me know which one should i get, thanks!

If it's double the price, then no it's not worth it. You can calculate the difference here . Totally unjustified price difference.
3600 CL16 - 8.89ns
3600 CL18 - 10ns

The difference in FPS or work loads will not be a lot, negligible in my opinion, though lower timings is still always better. But if they're charging double the price of the cl18 version then I wouldn't even think twice about paying that absurd price.

Do you need 64GB of ram?
For most folks it's overkill.
Not necessarily but i could use all the ram i could get, i am a 3d designer, working with heavy programs, also 4k video editing. The 64gb one is not much more expensive than the 32gb one though the 64gb one is cl18 and the 32gb is cl16 not sure if it's worth sacrificing 32gb for the cl16 one.

In this situation going CL18 vs CL16 won't make much difference. Go for the 64GB, it'll definitely help out more with your work than slightly faster timings will.

I would probably use it for some gaming too, running games like Red Dead Redemption 2 or Cyberpunk 2077 do you think the 64gb 3600mhz cl18 one would be right for the job? Maybe i could tighten the timings though not sure if that 2-3% "better" would help that much.

You can try but if it's unstable then I wouldn't worry about it, it's already good enough. Overclocking your graphics card VRAM offers more performance boost than going from CL18 to CL16.
