[SOLVED] 3600mhz ram compatibility

Hey guys,

I got this week HX Predator 2×8gb ddr4 3600mhz cl17 (HX436C17PB3K2/16). So im asking myself , what motherboard should i get to get maximum perfomance from that memory. Just look for motherboard that support 3600mhz in oc? I want to upgrade my cpu in 2-3months too. Thinking about i5 9600k.

My current rig:
Msi b150a gaming pro
I5 6600
32gb ddr4
Rtx 2070 msi

You will need to look at a Z170 chipsetted motherboard at the very least or a Z270 chipsetted board at the most. The catch here is that if you want to migrate to an i5-9600K, you will need a Z370/Z390 chipset board and the previous generation processors will not drop in. Meaning you will need to buy a new board when you're buying the processor. The ram will carry over, without any issues.
