guys I returned my 390x and got a refund the card had issues. is a fury card worth 125$ more ? or should I think about 480 in crossfire or should I just get a new 390x 1080 over budget and 1070 loses in hitman and ashes to the fury so amd still has the edge in actual direct x 12 games I dont think that will change anytime soon. I wish I could wait till vega but thats to long out. whats the best option? and yeh 1080p gaming, and no the 390x is not enough to max out everything it still dipped to 50s in some games, I want stable 60 with everything.

If you have the money, get a GTX 1080, it will be more expensive, but also will keep you from having to upgrade again anytime soon, as it can also pretty much max out 1440p and is even good with high settings at 4k.

1070/480, no point with old GPU's because they are more expensive.

I think you should stick with the new generation, their performances have a lot of room to improve through driver update, game optimizing,... Old card like 390x will perform as good as rx480 at the moment but in the long run, it will be left behind for sure.
