AMD 3800+ X2 vs. Pentium D 805 Dual Core

for cheapness / low local power costs the pentium, but the x2 3800+ outperforms it considerably @stock and especially overclocked will net you in the fx-60area and is still a bit less on the powerbill monthly while not being expensive (locally 28cts per kwh)

depends on your needs and your budget... x2 have better performance , but cost more... 805 is cheap (but check the MB and DDR2 prices which will make the both rigs price closer than CPU price only) ... if you will use it for web , typing and with low VGA for occasional gaming... get the 805... if you will invest on VGA... better choice is X2... as OC potential will help a lot in future...
