Hello
I want to replace my Ryzen 2700 to avoid as much as possible bottleneck my RTX 3070 and get faster loading apps.
I was going to buy a 5600X given it's the best allrounder CPU nowadays for the price but it's very very hard to find one, so now I wonder if it wouldn't be a bad idea to get a Ryzen 3800X which is available everywhere?
I play at 1440p and 4k games and photo editing with Lightroom and Capture One
I saw there is a clear advantage for the 5600x at 1080p but the rare comparison with the 3800x at 1440p showed a tiny difference and I couldn't find a comparison for games at 4k, will the 5600x still beat the 3800x? and if yes by a tiny or big margin?
What about photo editing softwares?

if u cant find 5600x,get the 3700x,not the 3800x.3700X is much better than 3800x since its better in price to performance ratio. The difference between 3700x and 3800x is that 3800x has +100MHz stock, but also consumes 40W more than 3700x.Not to mention its more expensive. So just get 3700X if u cant find 5600X

I'd be looking at any available benchmarks...

Considering 5600x gaming performance may be a little better I'd be thinking of waiting, and since you asked the question I'm guessing waiting is an option. I'd want the to build with latest gen if possible.

Full disclaimer... this was a 2 minute investigation by me so I'd highly recommend you spend a little time of your own before spending your money. :)
