3800X2 oc yields no performanc increase??!!??!!?

This is a very strange phenomena here. I just got my 3800 X2(manchester). Its oc's soooo good. I tryed 2.5 ghz on 1.475v(+.2v) on my DFI LanParty UT NF3 Ultra-D mobo(last of the high end AGP boards). But i see NO performance increase in any game or synthetic benchies!!! Absolutely none! This makes no sense at all. I have 2gb OCZ PC4000 (4x512), BFG 6800 GT OC @stock, and Thermalright SI-120 cooler with panaflow 89cfm quite 120mm fan. The temps report only 48c oced under full load, and only 41~42 under full load stock with both cores maxed (super pi and prime 95). Its not heat. Its not that 4 dimms are filled because i upgraded only the cpu when i had a 3200 winchester oced to 2.4 that gave me about 8~11 fps increase in css bench mark and about 300 points in 3dmark 05. i've tryed several of the 81.xx drivers, no change. Mult 10x, Hypertransport at 3x, ram at 2.8v 2.5-3-3-8(stock), ram locked at 1:1 ratio, fsb reports 250 mhz in cpuid. This is very wierd. i have a OCZ Powerstream 520 watt PS, so its 33 amps on the 12v line, plenty of power. Any ideas? in css all graphics on default(which is high) except res which is at 1280x1024 becuase i have a L90D+ 19" LCD monitor

dunno, haven't tested that oc in it yet, however it ran fine in bf2 for couple of hours. lets just say stable or not i should have seen some sort of performance change!!

You've disabled the power saving in the bios right? So it's not moving the multi down as it heats up...

You mean cool and quiet? Yah its disabled. As I said before all bios settings and hardware are unchanged as to when i had my 3200 winnie, except the default voltages, which are lower due to more efficient cores. Which is why i'm stumped on this one. The ONLY possible cause i could think of is a GPU bottle neck, where my 6800GT is simply at its limits. But that doesn't seem logical to me, as the 6800GT is still a pretty capable card, heck even a 9800 pro can still play most games at decent graphics and frame rates(except maybe F.E.A.R.).
