3930k vs. 6850k for gaming

I need to know if buying a 6850k processor in replacement of my 3930k would be worth the purchase for gaming purposes?

Not really. The main point of the 6850 is having more cores which are useless in 90%+ of all games even modern ones.

It's really meant for professionals like video editors, 3D modelers, etc..

Id say its not worth it based on the percentages, especially for computer games.
