Hey guys, just got my rig in SLI mode on sunday.

If you look at my SIG you will see my number for 3DMark05 Pro.. with all the tests in 1024x768 w/o Anti-Aiasing.

is that a good number? If I go to 2 GB (2x1gb) memory .. will that up my number?

I have the exact same GS's as you. I get well over 10,000 @ 515MHz Core and 1250MHz Memory. That score is a little low for stock too, but then again, my CPU & RAM are OC'd as well.

There is very little difference between 512, 1024 and 2048 in 3DMark 05. I've copied in from an earlier post (at the bottom) some benches with 512, 1024, and 2048 in both PCMark 05 and 3DMark 05.

Overclocked
Asus A8n-sli Prem 3800+ X2 and sli xfx 6800GT's 2x1024 (current rig)
3DMark05: 10752

Jetway 3000+ and sli xfx 6800GT's 2x512 (old rig)
3DMark: 9416

May be a little low but still not bad. You certainly shouldn't have any problem running any games. Just like apesoccer said there is very little if any real difference in 3dMark05 between 512 to 2gigs of ram. However, you will see an improvement in certain games like BF2 and F.E.A.R. with 2gigs. I would recommend OCZ Platinum 2x1gig 2.2.3.5. Newegg has a rebate which makes it an excellent buy for some of the higher end ram on the market.

I am exceeding 9,900 3DMarks05 with a single HiS X1800XT at 690/1600MHz using an Opty 175 at 2.64GHz... video overclock done with stock ATI drivers, no third party utility...
also I break 5,000 in 3DMarks06...

I feel sure I could boost my scores another 50 to 100 marks with a little more diligence and tweaking and effort, if I had the desire... like disabling services, higher overclocks, etc...
