3D Mark Score made even Randier! (Better)

erm, im just wondering if my 3d mark score is ok for the system im running. Here are my spec:

AMD Athlon XP 2500 @ 3200 (2.2Ghz)
1 GB DDR Ram (In dual Channel Mode)
Nvidia GeForce 5600 Graphics (o/c from 325/550 to 359/610)
30 GB Maxtor HD
80 GB Maxtor HD
Mobo = Chaintech Zenith 7NJS (Ultra Version)

I get about 10800 in 3dmark 2001se

Thanks alot!

ps...my CPU is water cooled, and runs at about 42idle, and 46 full load...is that bo?

CHEERS!

Sound ok for a fx5600

My own beast: Athlon 2700xp+ (oc: 3200xp+ with 200fsb) , Radeon 9800pro (oc: 410/370) , 512mb ddr400. SO MUCH faster than my last computer (pIII 550......)

Well I get a 13500 or so with my R9700 Pro and a 2400 not OCed and when I boost up to 2800 I get around 15000 or so so I think you might be running a little slow Im going to check on toms to see what they get out of your card but with a CPU clocked almost a ghz more then mine I would think you would be getting a better score since 3dmark 2001 seems to like CPUs.

His score is fine. THG got 11500 on the Ultra...and the ultra runs at 350,700. He's at 359,610: his score is what's expected, even if he is running an AXP 3200+ and they ran a 2700+.

Maxtor disgraces the six letters that make Matrox.

ok yep that sounds about right

I just looked up some benchmarks to make sure that was right. I really didn't know the proformance of his card but I knew that a ti 4200 on my friends comp (1800+) was getting like around 8-9k on 3dmark 2001 so I thought his score should be higher then that since he has a much better CPU and the FX he has is suppost to be a little bit faster then the TI 4200

hi, thanks for ur help!
ive just finished taking of the heat sink on the 5600 an ive re-applyed sum coolmaster termal compound to the GPU core, hopefully i can lower the temps and overclock it sum more. The onboard ram (128mb) seems very o/c-able (550 to 610!?) How far do you think i could get the mem/gpu speeds?

Thanks agen, Ned

Probably not much more without a voltmod or peltier cooling. Sorry. What kind of RAM do you have on that card?

Maxtor disgraces the six letters that make Matrox.

it has 128mb of DDR 1 ram

ive just bin looking at the spec of my card online, and ive come across a term ive never heard of "RAMDAC"
"RAMDACs (MHz) (each have 2 RAMDAC): 400 "
ne1 care to explain....erm...i dont kno Google exists :D lol

thx

and for ne1 who cares, ive now lowered the core clock speed to 357 due to stability issues, but ive upped the mem speed to....wait for it...660mhz!
im no expert, but that seems randy ramshank to me!
my 3d mark score now stands at 11100...which is better than 18000.

OH YEAH!
