3d mark score way lower than usual

In the past ( on windows 7) i had a score of 9500 on 3D MARK with the following rig

I7 2600 @3.4ghz 4.1 turbo
GTX 970
16GB SAMSUNG RAM (4X4)
Seasonic 650w psu.

im now getting 6800 and its jumpy as hell...Cannot understand how or why this has occured...Any suggestions will do i will reply fast.

Have you installed the latest GPU drivers for Windows 10?
Your GPU seems to have a lower clock too, it shouldn't make such a big difference though.

Yes mate, downloaded Geforce experience and ran a clean isntall right way.

For anyone who wants to know how i fixed this and got it back to 1100, system interupt was taking up to 12% of my cpu, this must of been causing some sort of performance draw, i fixed this by uninstalling my Atheros wifi adapter and rebooting system. Everything working fantastically!
