hi there,

well when speaking about 3d software, you're probably speaking about nvidia, with a decent nvidia graphics card? if i'm not mistaken!

in order to view the 3d cinematics of either games or movies, nvidia recommend getting a monitor with a refresh rate of at least 120hz, where normal lcd screens refresh at 55-60hz...

none the less, i've seen games run perfectly at 60hz refresh rates, but one problem though, the 3d glasses? once you have a good pair of those in hand, give it a try! I don't think you'll be disappointed!!
