Well, you reap what you sow I guess...
But the world has never gotten cheap 3D printers.... the expensive printers (except in a few wealthy bubbles) just get more expensive again.... the balance is restored.
???
So me buying an Anycubic Kobra 2 Neo for 170€ in 2023 was a fever dream, then? That is weird, because both my Amazon account, bank account, and my 3D printer agree that I indeed bought it for that price... btw. The upgraded model, the Kobra 3, is currently sitting at 260€ (which feels in line with the general price increases of the past few years, honestly), while the Elegoo Neptune 3 Pro costs 218€, which sounds fair honestly when considering inflation. Both prices include all taxes and are quite a bit cheaper than the new US prices listed above.
So, yes, the rest of the world does still have affordable options. And I only looked at Amazon here, which is by no means the cheapest seller. The Bamboo Lab A1 Mini mentioned above as costing $360 now costs 205€ here, btw. Though that price is admittedly taken from a price comparison website. Highest priced listed on that site is 239€, though, still a lot cheaper than the US price. Older models are also still on the market, a Kobra 2 Pro for 200€, for example. Which is a really good printer, and cost twice as much when it released.
