I have read a bunch of answers on here but just wanted to verify before I went out and bought the parts.

I have an asus HD 6950 - 4 DP, 2 DVI

I have 2 displays, a samsung 1900x1200 and an Acer 1920x1080 connected via (passive?) display port to DVI adapters (they shipped with a friend's dell and he didn't need them). This has been working in an extended display setup.

I recently bought the Sony Playstation 3D LED TV as a 3rd display (extended display). It supports only HDMI, so I bought http://accellcables.com/products/DisplayPort/DP/dp_hdmi.html

When I have all 3 hooked up to the DPs, I get no video on my Sony TV. If I disconnect or disable one, I do. I even tried hooking up the 2 DVI displays directly to the DVI and then connect the sony via the accell DP to HDMI adapter, the DVI displays work but the Sony doesn't.

Do I need to buy active DP to DVI (Single link) adapters for my 2 other displays? http://support.amd.com/us/eyefinity/Pages/eyefinity-dongles.aspx

Also, will I be able to watch 3D content on this TV? Will it work with games?

Thanks for the help :)

Yes I believe so, as long as one is active it should work, as that card was designed for 6 monitor support.

Its not working because of the passive display adapter your using for the 3rd monitor. In order for it to work youll need a ACTIVE display adapter such as this.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814999030

Also have you made sure you identified the monitors, I'm assuming its windows 7, right click on the active screen and go to properies > screen resolution.

As long as whatever your watching has 3D enabled you should be able to.

ah thanks. So does this mean I need to get 2 active adapters for my DVI screens? or Can I just get the one thus leaving me with
1 active DP to DVI
1 passive DP to DVI
1 passive DP to HDMI?

yea, I tried the detect display in the catalyst and the windows screen settings.

Thanks again for the speedy reply.
