Never had a 3dfx Voodoo card. Around that time (late 90s) I was using a Matrox Mystique 220 GPU. Was also a really good card for gaming.

Same here, i had an S3 virge, then a Riva TNT, and then a Geforce 2 MX 400, i never had a chance to use any of 3DFX's products when they were a thing. This still sounds like an interesting project regardless though.

I still keep my MX400 around in case I ever need an AGP card.

I keep mine in my DOS and 98 box with a K6 - III+ 450 (usually @550), its still a very good GPU for DOS and 98.

I could never afford Voodoo graphics in my early 486/Pentium years. I did get some Voodoo2 and 3 cards some years ago which I never got to use due to current high end PC, as well as apps such as dgVoodoo2 that can emulate the same thing on newer hardware. Also retro PC is kind of useless when there are projects like eXoDOS, eXoWin3x, ScummVM etc..

My last 3dfx voodoo its a 4500 i think...

It's not cheap in my country. it's like work one year to get one...
my first computer comes from eletronic scrap a pentium 100 with 16mb edo ram
