Hi

I was all set to bench my new 2.26a@3.1Ghz in 3dmarkSE (latest one) and all it gave me was an error log stating 'texture mapping not supported'?

Since when is texture mapping, whatever that is, not supported on the latest g/x card???

Ive tried changing drivers over, reinstalling directx etc in xp, to no avail. This benchmark refuses to run!

Can someone tell me what simple mistake im making?

Thanks!

There's a DirectX Update/patch for WinXP with AMD systems but I think it's only for users who have installed Service Pack 1.

It's available at the link below (near the bottom of the page).

Sorry I forgot to say what my hardware was:
p4b533v/512mb corsair xms3200/gainward ti4600
xp/2.26a

I dont think this patch applies to me since Im using a Northwood intel cpu?

I have tried default fsb=133, no overclocking, and still this error persists.

Im sure Im making a simple mistake, any ideas appreciated?

Thanks

Don't worry about neglecting your specs. Obviously, I wasn't paying attention. "2.26A@3.1Ghz" means Northwood of course.

Sorry about that. I was reading two threads at the same time and somehow confused the content of yours.

About your problem, all I can think of might be an AGP driver problem. You could try reloading the chipset drivers (click link).

Hmmm, I don't see any mention of the 845G chipset.

When I first updated to 3DMark2001SE build 330 I was getting an error, something about 3D accelerator not supporting my current display settings.

Turns out I had a shortcut pointing to 3DMark2001.exe instead of the new 3DMark2001SE.exe.

It's a stretch but that's my last idea.
